Tracing the Steps of the ArchaeologistsIn the period December 13, 2018 – March 10, 2019 the residents and guests of Sofia will have the opportunity to visit Sofia History Museum and enjoy an interesting international exhibition that tells of the exciting history of the town with the help of archaeological research that has been conducted for more than a century and continues to present day.The exposition Apollonia Pontica – Tracing the Steps of the Archaeologists includes more than 500 exhibits from the Louvre, Museum Center - Sozopol, the National Archaeological Institute with Museum - BAS, the National Museum of History, and the Regional Museum of History – Burgas. It tells of the town of Apollonia Pontica and its adjacent areas, institutions, architecture, everyday life and necropolises. It was located at the site of present-day Sozopol. The exhibition is realized with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Louvre and the French Institute in Bulgaria and its official opening is on December 13, 2018 at 6 pm in Temporary Exhibitions Hall of Sofia History Museum (Banski 1 Square).
